In The Value of Training BJJ when Traveling to New Cities | You-Jitsu #27, I share my $.02 on traveling with your Jiu Jitsu gear and training with others across America or in your own country.
I was fortunate this week to travel to my previous home of Richmond, Virginia. Even better, I was able to train at Revolution BJJ, where I started my BJJ journey over 4 1/2 years ago. I was welcomed with open arms and, unfortunately, wristlocks.
It was great to see folks I started BJJ with or trained with when I left Richmond 4 years ago. I highly recommend traveling with your Gi, rash guard or other BJJ gear while on the road.
“Jiu-jitsu puts you completely in the moment, where you must have a complete focus on finding a solution to the problem. This trains the mind to build that focus, to increase your awareness, your capacity to solve problems”. Rickson Gracie
